Roof Replacement · Dallas–Fort Worth
Roof Replacement Built for Texas Weather
Prometheus Power Solutions replaces residential roofs across Dallas–Fort Worth from our office in north Fort Worth. We start with an inspection, show you what we find, and give you an itemized estimate — whether you are dealing with hail damage, an aging roof, or planning a new roof ahead of solar.

What does a Prometheus roof replacement include?
Every project starts with an inspection and ends with a walkthrough. In between, you get a clear scope in writing so you know exactly what is being replaced and why.
- Roof inspection — we check shingles, flashing, vents, decking condition and attic ventilation, and photograph what we find.
- Itemized estimate — materials, tear-off, underlayment, flashing, drip edge, ventilation and the price for any decking that needs replacing.
- Permits where your city requires them — rules vary across DFW, and we confirm them for your address before work starts.
- Tear-off and installation — old roofing removed down to the deck, damaged decking replaced, new underlayment and roofing installed to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Cleanup and final walkthrough — we clear debris and walk the finished roof with you.
Which roofing options make sense in North Texas?
Texas leads the country in major hail events, so material choice matters here more than most places. These are the options DFW homeowners compare most often. Cost ranges are 2026 market estimates for the area, not a quote.
| Option | Est. installed cost / sq ft | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Architectural shingles | About $4.24–$6.36 | Most homes; balanced cost and appearance |
| Impact-resistant (Class 4) shingles | About $5.40–$8.64 | Hail-prone neighborhoods; possible insurance discount |
| Standing-seam metal | About $8.40–$14.70 | Long life (40+ years) and pairing with solar |
Many Texas insurers offer a discount for impact-resistant roofs rated under UL 2218, and each insurer sets the amount, so ask your agent before choosing. For a Class 4 install, the roofer signs TDI form PC068 to certify the installation. Cost figures come from RoofVista’s 2026 DFW estimates; see our DFW roofing guide for more on costs and quotes.

Was your roof damaged by hail or wind?
Hail damage is often invisible from the ground. An inspection with dated photos tells you whether there is anything worth claiming before you call your insurer.
We inspect, document damage with photos and can meet your adjuster on site to show what we found. You file and manage your own claim. Texas law requires you to pay your full deductible, and no contractor may pay, waive or rebate it or act as your public adjuster — the Texas Department of Insurance explains these rules. If a roofer offers to “cover” your deductible, that is a red flag.
Planning solar or battery backup? Start with the roof.
Solar panels typically stay on a roof for 25 years or more, so the roof under them should be ready for that. If your roof has less than about 10 years left, replacing it first usually costs less than removing and reinstalling panels later.
Because Prometheus also installs solar power systems and battery backup — as a certified FranklinWH installer and a Tesla certified installer — we can plan the roof, panels and battery as one project with one team.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you inspect the roof before quoting a replacement?
Yes. We inspect the roof, photograph what we find and walk you through whether repair or replacement makes sense before you get an itemized estimate.
Can Prometheus handle my insurance claim?
No roofer in Texas can act as your public adjuster or waive your deductible. You file and manage the claim. We document damage with photos and can meet your adjuster on site to show what we found.
Should I replace my roof before installing solar?
If your roof has less than about 10 years of life left, replacing it first usually saves money, because removing and reinstalling panels later adds labor. We plan both projects together.
What areas do you serve?
We replace roofs across Dallas–Fort Worth from our north Fort Worth office, including Fort Worth, Haslet, Northlake, Keller, Southlake, North Richland Hills, Denton, Arlington and Weatherford.
